In the Name of God, Amen.

I William Mewse of Lowestoft in the County of Suff, Butcher, being of good health and sound memory and understanding (praise be to God) yet understanding the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof Doe make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, viz: First I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it me, and my Body I commit to the earth from which it came to be buryed in Christian Buryall at the discretion of my executors hereafter named

And as for that Worldly Estate which it has pleaseth God to endow upon me I dispose thereof as followeth.

Imprimis, I give devise and bequeath unto Mary, my dearly beloved wife all my messuages, lands and tenements situate and being in Lowestoft together with all the rights privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging, to hold to her and her assigns for the rest of her naturall life and from and immediately after my wife's decease

I give, devise and bequeath all that my messuage and tenement in Lowestoft aforesaid in which James Kingsbury now dwelleth, together with the yard and appurtenances to the same belonging and one third share of a well for drawing water unto Mary my daughter now the wife of the said James during the term of her natural life and thereafter to the issue of her body begotten or to be begotten.

Item: I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth all that messuage and tenement in Lowestoft aforesaid wherein Thomas Corey now dwelleth with the yard and appurtenances to the same belonging, also one third share of a well to draw water, to hold to her the said Elizabeth for and during the rest of her naturall life and after her decease to the issues of her body lawfully begotten.

Item: I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca all that messuage and tenement in Lowestoft aforesaid wherein Henry Doundy now dwelleth with the yard and appurtenances to the same belonging, also one third share of a well to draw water, to hold to her the said Rebecca for and during the rest of her naturall life and after her decease to the issues of her body lawfully begotten.

All of which messuages and tenements are standing in Fairstead Lane in Lowestoft aforesaid.

Item: I give and bequeath to my wife all such ready money as I shall have at my death together with any bills, bonds book debts and other debts whatsoever, goods, chattels and personal estate of what nature and kind soever after payment of my due debts and expenses of probate.

I nominate, constitute and appoint my said loving wife to be executrix of this my will, revoking and annulling all other and former wills by me made and doe declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in witness whereof I have sett my hand this fourth day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourteen.
