WILL OF HENRY CRICKMORE 1765

In the Name of God, Amen. The fifteenth day of June of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty ffive. I, Henry Crickmore of Wingfield in the County of Suffolk, Farmer, Being weak in body but of good and perfect Memory, thanks be to Almighty God, and Calling to mind the uncertain Estate of this Transitory Life, and that all fflesh must yield unto death when it shall please God to Call, Do make, Consecrate, Ordain and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto my Well Beloved Wife Anne Crickmore all my Stock of Cattle as also all my Household Goods and Chattels with all and every my Implements of Husbandry with all Movables both within Doors and without for her Proper Use and Behoof (Untill such time as the said Anne Crickmore shall Remain a Widow) But if the said Anne Crickmore shall alter her Condition again by Marriage, then my will and Pleasure is that my son John Crickmore shall have full power to take her part as is above assertained.

I also Give to my Son Henry Crickmore all my Tenement Lying and being in Wingfield Aforesaid in the occupation of William Bridges with the Yards Gardens Outhouses with all and every the Appurtenances thereunto to Him and his heirs for ever. Nevertheless, the said Henry Crickmore shall be Subject to the paying thereout the Sum of Ten Pounds unto my Daughter Elizabeth Fisher within one Year after my decease without he the said Henry Crickmore shall think fit to pay it before.

I also give to my Daughter Elizabeth Fisher the Sum of Forty Pounds (besides the aforesaid sum of Ten Pounds) to be paid to her within One Year after my Decease by Anne Crickmore my Aforesaid Wife out in my Stock for her proper Use and Behoof for Ever.

Lastly, I Nominate and Appoint Anne Crickmore my Beloved Wife Executrix and John Crickmore Executor of this my last Will and Testament. To see to and Defray my Funeral Charges and the probate of this my said Will whereof I have set my hand and Seal the Day and Year above written.

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have by the desire of the said Testator sett our hands as Witnesses
