WILL OF JOHN CRICKMER 1862

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Crickmer of the City of Norwich, Commercial Traveller.

First I appoint Mr Joseph Woodrow, of the said City, Wine Merchant, and my Friend Sarah Spratt, of Bethel Street in the said City, Spinster, Executor and Executrix of this my Will ,and I give and bequeath to my Daughter Eliza Dickerson the Wife of Henry Dickerson the Legacy or sum of Nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings to be paid to her for her own use and benefit within three Calendar months next after my decease

And after payment of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary charges and expences and the said Legacy to my said Daughter, I give and bequeath all my articles of Household furniture, linen, money ,and securities for money and all other my personal Estate and Effects of every description ,and the residue and remainder thereof ,unto the said Sarah Spratt her Executors, administrators and assigns, for her and their use absolutely.

And lastly I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my Name this first day of January in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.

Signed by the said John Crickmer the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses: Elizabeth Goale. Robt Field

Proved at Norwich the second day of November 1864 by the Oath of Joseph Woodrow one of the Executors to whom administration was granted. Power reserved of making the like Grant to Sarah Spratt, Spinster, the other Executor.

The Testator John Crickmer was late of Bethel Street in the City of Norwich, Commercial Traveller, and died on the twenty fourth day of June 1864 at Bethel Street aforesaid.
