I, John FOWELL of the Parish of St Peter in the Borough of Thetford in the County of Norfolk, Shopkeeper do make my last will in manner and form following:

Imprimis, I bequeath to my wife Jane FOWELL all my messuage and appurtenances thereto for the term of her life situate in the Back Street, Thetford on condition of her paying yearly the interest of the mortgage of 150 (sic) and to keep the same in tenable repair, and immediately after the decease of my said wife, I give said messuage and appurtenances to my son Joseph on condition of his paying his sister Eliza 20 yearly during her life.

But if my son Joseph should die leaving no issue, then the said estate to become the property of his sister and her heirs by paying the widow of my son Joseph 20 per annum during her life.

My household furniture, goods, chattels, books, debts, sums of maoney etc I give and leave to my wife to dispose of and settle with the advice of my executor herinafter named

And I hereby constitute my wife executrix and Mr H W BAILEY, surgeon of Thetford, executor to this my will, in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal in the presence of three witnesses who in my presence and at my request have subscribed their names as witnesses hereto on this fourth day of May 1829
