WILL OF Samuel Thomas CRICKMAY 1865

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Samuel Thomas Crickmay, of Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk, a retired Tailor.
First I do constitute and appoint Susanna, my beloved and affectionate Wife, sole Executrix thereof.
And I do hereby direct and appoint her to act in all transactions connected with the same And I do direct my said Executrix administrator or assign from and immediately after my decease to discharge and pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences
And I do give and bequeath unto my Wife Susanna Crickmay all my Dwellinghouses situated on the Denes in the Borough of Great Yarmouth (Except the one in Duncan Place) Also all my household furniture plate pictures china linen with all monies securities for money and all other property by Sea or Land that I may be possessed of or interested in at the time of my decease I give unto my beloved Wife for her sole use and purpose for ever.
And I do give unto my Daughter Harriet Crickmay now residing in Luton all that Dwelling house situate in Duncan Place denes for her life, And forty pounds in money for her own use
But my desire is that should my Daughter Harriet Crickmay depart this life before my Wife Susanna Crickmay then the house in Duncan Place shall be given to her
And lastly I do hereby revoke all former Wills And declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Samuel Thomas Crickmay the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this thirty first day of January in year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five
Samuel Thomas CrickmaySigned sealed published and declared by the above mentioned Samuel Thomas Crickmay as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us at his request and in the presence of each other and after his signing the same here subscribed our names as witness hereto

In the Goods of Samuel Thomas Crickmay deceased
I James Watson, late of Caister in the County of Norfolk, and now of Great Yarmouth in the same County, Gardener, make Oath and say that I am one of the subscribed Witnesses to the last Will and Testament of the said Samuel Thomas Crickmay late of Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk, a retired Tailor, deceased, the said Will being now hereunto annexed and bearing date the thirty first day of January ,one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.
And that the said Testator executed the said Will on the day of the date thereof by signing his name at the foot or end thereof, as the same now appears therein in the presence of me and of Sarah Watson, the other subscribed Witness thereof, both of us being present at the same time, and we thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said Testator. And having viewed the words"for her life" written between the fifteenth and sixteenth lines of the said Will and the words"of us" written between the second and third lines in the attestation Clause of the said Will I further make Oath and say that the said recited interlineations were made previously to the execution of the said Will by the said Samuel Thomas Crickmay
Sworn at Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk the eighteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven Before me F Hodskinson A Commissioner to administer Oaths in Chancery in England.
Proved at Norwich, the twenty ninth day of April 1867 by the Oath of Susanna Crickmay, Widow the relict, the sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted.
The Testator Samuel Thomas Crickmay was late of Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk a retired Tailor and died on the twelfth day of March 1867 at Great Yarmouth aforesaid.
