WILL OF THOMAS OLDMAN 1767



This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Oldman of Bury St Edmunds in the County of Suffolk, Yeoman, made this fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven in manner following:

First I give and devise all and every my messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments situate, lying and being in Bury St Edmunds aforesaid with their and every of their apputenances to my dearly beloved wife Betty Oldman and her heirs for ever.

Also I give and bequeath to my sons Thomas Oldman and Samuel Oldmantwenty shillings apiece.

Also all the residue, remainder of my goods chattels and personal estateafter payment of the said two legacys (sic) my just debts, expenses and funeral charges and probate of this my will I give to the said Betty my wife

And lastly I appoint the said Betty my wife and Walter WRIGHT of Bury St Edmunds aforesaid Beer Brewer Executrix and executor of this my last will and testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
